- The Departure Day is Finally Here
I have delayed my departure date for 6 days and changed the destination from Quito, Ecuador to Lima, Peru. I will now be flying out on May 10th instead.
The main reason being that, since I had to be in Buenos Aires around June 10, I only had 5 weeks to visit 3 countries (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia). Given that I wanted to do a couple of multi-day hikes (7 days and 4 days), and visit Galapagos Islands, 5 weeks wast just not enough. With this change, I will now have 4 weeks to do Peru and Bolivia, which is more reasonable. The main point of doing such a long trip is to take my time and not rush through places.
Another reason for the change is that I still have so many tasks to do before departure, and a extra week will be much welcomed. Having to still work so close to departure leaves me with little time to finish these tasks.
