Good weather continued to follow me on the last day of this hike. Walking with a slight limp, my swollen knee welcomed the flat elevation.

The day after doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing was a short one, ending at the spectacular, newly built Waihohonu Hut.

One the first day of this 3-day hike, I hiked through the popular Tongariro Alpine Crossing, a memorable walk with spectacular otherworldly views.

After injuring it on the last hike, knee gets swollen and in bad shape. I also miss the shuttle bus to the start of the Tongariro Northern Circuit.

A re-injury of my left knee makes me doubt whether I would be able to complete all the hikes I had planned for New Zealand.
