Hi! I'm 28 too! I'm so glad to read your thoughts here, I feel so much better about my lackadaisical attitude towards the "normal" life. I got on this site because I started reading your JMT journals since I am planning a month-long thru-hike for next summer--and I am afraid my two friends are going to bail out on me. Your journals are informative and fantastic! Thank you so much for posting.

Great site, maybe one day you'll hit the beaches in my corner of the world eh?

Yknow what I always liked about you bro? That you weren't content to rest on your laurels and actually go out and plow your way to your dream. Props to you mi amigo.

Kevin/Kuang, in spite of my close friend comment, I understand you wanted to do this in English (your language now?). Although some words were a little bit complex for my English, I think the whole idea is pretty clear. Here we’ve got the chance to talk a lot about these things and I guess you remember that I agree and support most of your feelings… I like some phrases of the speech (a new –and asian version- of King’s “I had a dream”??) and I hope you can finally get through your plan… I expect to receive soon that book you spoke about the other day…
A big hug,
The “goal angel” (a homage to cronopio)

Hihi~ yup, your definitely a lucky one ;)
I love traveling too, but I don't think I could ever do a 2 year excursion - I think I would miss being home, kicking back, the nice secure feeling of knowing where you belong. 2-3 weeks vacation to one place is quite ideal for me :)
And yeah, I am one of the few that are happy following the traditional route because that's where my heart and passion lies. I can't imagine life without practicing vet medicine. Guess I am lucky in that sense :)

I agree with you~ Doing what you love makes life worth living!
